CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - The Clarksville Police Department has partnered with the National Crime Map, an online site that the public can use to access local crime information.
Police Chief Al Ansley said in a news release Wednesday that the partnership provides citizens with reliable and timely information and provides regular e-mail alerts about crime.
The site tracks crimes such as homicide, breaking and entering, robbery, theft, theft of vehicle, sexual assault and aggravated assault.
Clarksville is 1 of more than 850 other law enforcement agencies across the country that is sharing crime information through the map. The map can be accessed at http://www.crimereports.com or the Clarksville Police Department's Web site at http://www.clarksvillepd.org.
