Driver burned in gas station fire dies

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - A truck driver who was severely burned when his tanker caught fire at a Nashville gas station has died.

The Nashville Fire Department said in a news release on Wednesday that 68-year-old William Jerry Dennis of Fayetteville died from his injures at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

The fire started Tuesday morning as Dennis was moving fuel between the station's underground tanks. The fuel caught fire, burning him seriously.

The fire department said the cause of the blaze has been listed as accidental.
