DRESDEN, Tenn. (AP) - The suspect in a series of West Tennessee rapes has pleaded guilty to sex crimes in Martin.
Weakley County prosecutor Tommy Thomas said 36-year-old Bruce Tuck of Gleason entered pleas Thursday in Dresden to 19 counts, including six counts of aggravated rape.
Thomas told WCMT radio that, as a multiple sex offender, Tuck must serve 100 percent of his effective 60-year prison term. He was given 20 years in each of 3 rapes, the terms to be served consecutively.
Circuit Judge Bill Acree accepted the plea agreement that dropped three minor charges against Tuck.
Thomas said the victims were in the courtroom Thursday and that Tuck will now be sent to Shelby County, where he faces additional sex charges.
