NASHVILLE, Tenn. – After deliberating for less than an hour, a Davidson County jury Wednesday convicted Joshua Brown on two counts of felony murder, one count of attempted especially aggravated robbery and one count of attempted first degree murder.
He was one of three suspects arrested for the murders Salama Estfanous and Bishouy Hanna in December 2006.
Estfanous and Hanna worked as clerks at the AM/PM Market in Madison.
A customer in the store was also shot but survived.
Police said robbery was the motive.
Brown will serve an automatic life sentence. The jury will determine whether he will get parole.
Brown's co-defendant, Rokisha Alderson, and Robin Betts, the getaway driver, entered guilty pleas last year.
Betts is currently serving a 60-year sentence and Alderson, a juvenile at the time of the murders, is serving a sentence of life plus 15 years.
