
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – One person was killed and a second injured in an accident early Wednesday morning on Franklin Limestone Road in Antioch.
According to police, a car with two occupants went off the road at about 5:45 a.m. and flipped several times before coming to a rest about 100 feet from the roadway.
The passenger was pinned in the car and pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said the driver either crawled from the car or was ejected.
He was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in critical condition.
According to police, Franklin Limestone Road is prone to accidents because of its many curves. The road connects Antioch Pike and Murfreesboro Road.
As of 8:15 a.m. Wednesday, the road remained shut down.
The names of the driver and the victim have not been released.
Police are investigating whether alcohol was a contributing factor.
