Target stabbing case sent to grand jury

Posted:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A grand jury will hear the case of the man accused in last month’s stabbing outside a west Nashville Target store.

Timothy Kelly is charged with aggravated robbery for the October 27 incident on White Bridge Road.

The 46-year-old victim testified in court Tuesday that Kelly stabbed her in the back and then stole her purse.

The victim said she suffered an eight inch deep incision from the attack, and her kidney was nicked.

Kelly, 23, is also charged in a similar incident outside the Walmart on Charlotte Pike.

A woman testified her purse was stolen from the same defendant in a few days prior to the Target case.

A grand jury will also hear that case.
