CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - A former youth minister is facing multiple charges of sex crimes against teenage girls.

Jonathan Giles, 24, was arrested Wednesday night and charged with three counts of statutory rape, two counts of solicitation of a minor and sexual battery by an authority figure.

Giles is alleged to have inappropriate contact through text message and/or relations with at least three female members of the youth ministry at the Spring Creek Baptist Church where he was employed.

Additionally, he is alleged to have asked two of the girls, ages 16 and 17, to engage in sexual intercourse.

Detectives began investigating Giles on June 15.

Giles was booked into the Montgomery County jail on $750,000.

Clarksville police said the investigation is ongoing.
