School bus involved in Celina crash

CELINA, Tenn. - A school bus crash in Celina, Clay County, about 100 miles northeast of Nashville, has sent 10 people to local hospitals.

Natalie Boone, director the Emergency Management Agency in Clay County, told the Associated Press a vehicle ran into the back of the school bus Thursday afternoon, close to the intersection of Highway 53 North and Mimosa Lane.

The driver of the vehicle and several students were taken to the Cumberland River Hospital and Livingston Regional Hospital with non-critical injuries.

Most of those aboard the school bus were elementary students from the Celina K-8 School.
