Person of interest named in hotel murder

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Police in Nashville have named a person of interest, wanted for questioning in the murder of a woman whose body was found in an Antioch motel late last month.

Metro police believe Jason Mitchell Ward, 32, has information about the case.  He is also wanted on parole violation and theft warrants.

Debbie Lynn Shearer was found dead at the Holiday Inn on Crossings Place March 30 after she failed to show up for work at the Hickory Hollow Mall.

It is not clear how she died.

Ward was last known to have lived on McClurkan Avenue.  He was paroled after serving time for theft convictions in Shelby County.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
